Ç Go back
My fiance was born in a Christian family and in 1985, she accepted Him as her Saviour. Since that time, she has grown spiritually and has served the Lord in many ways. We have been engaged since 1988 and are hoping to have the funds to marry this December.
Now, in addition to discipling the Christians in their homes, I also organize a Leaders Training Seminar every three months. There are already five men pastoring whom I have trained for the ministry. Since April, 1981, the Lord has enabled me to start three churches but our people are rural and very poor. Usually, I might get as much as $18.00 a month for my service. This, of course, is not enough even to buy food to eat. Most of my ministry is along the shores of Lake Victoria which you know as the source of the Nile River.
I speak three languages, Luo, Kiswahili, which is our national language, and English. In order to have food to eat, I live with my parents. We have very little land and are what you call subsistence farmers. Every Monday, I spend the day helping them work in the garden so that we can have food to eat. My parents are very old and will soon pass away, but at least now we have the Gospel, and I know that I will be with them later. Thank you for your willingness to help us reach our people in Kenya. Please pray for us and we will pray for you.
